Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE)
The Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development initiated the research project PYROPHOB, which is developed and implemented together with all project partners. The Centre for Econics and Ecosystem Management at the University in Eberswalde coordinates the project, conducts microclimatic analysis and assesses tree rejuvenation as well as forest structure in close cooperation with other partners. Based on the ecological synthesis of the indicator-specific results from all project partners, recommendations for managing forest fire areas and guidance for forestry practices are developed.
In the project, the faculty of Landscape Management at the HNEE analyses the release and relocation of inorganic and organic compounds in combination with seepage water and groundwater as well as soil analyses. The project will be incorporated into university education and teaching at the HNEE.
