The State Forestry Research Centre Eberswalde (LFE) is responsible for scientific and technical services and process developments for forests and forestry in Brandenburg and in the northeastern German lowlands. An essential task is the transfer of knowledge and the representation of issues relevant to practice in research projects. In the PYROPHOB network, the LFE also coordinates the surveys and analyses of natural and artificial reforestation on forest fire areas as well as communication with the diverse stakeholders concerning woods and forestry.
